# Blockbates

> Blockbates is a Web3 shopping app on Base where every purchase earns a 50% USDC rebate. Transactions are gasless — powered by Coinbase Smart Wallet and Paymaster.

## How it works

1. Connect a Coinbase Smart Wallet (created with passkeys)
2. Browse products and buy with USDC on Base
3. The smart contract splits each payment 50/50 — half goes to the merchant, half is returned to the buyer
4. All transactions are gasless (gas sponsored by Coinbase Paymaster)
