Blockbates (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of people who use blockbates.com, demo.blockbates.com, and the related applications, tools, and features we operate (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you use the Services.
This policy does not govern websites, wallets, blockchain networks, or services operated by third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- connect wallets and authenticate users;
- process purchases, rebates, donations, transfers, and order fulfillment;
- verify blockchain transactions and prevent duplicate or fraudulent orders;
- provide customer support and respond to requests;
- monitor reliability, diagnose errors, and improve the Services;
- protect the safety, security, and integrity of Blockbates; and
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental requests.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to provide the Services, based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, to comply with legal obligations, or with your consent.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: with providers that support wallet connectivity, blockchain transactions, hosting, databases, security, and error diagnostics.
- Public blockchains: information submitted in a blockchain transaction becomes public and may be copied or analyzed by anyone.
- Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect the rights and safety of Blockbates, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the Services, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information for money.
4. Blockchain Data
Public blockchain records are transparent and generally permanent. Blockbates does not control public blockchain networks and cannot alter, hide, or delete information recorded on a public blockchain. Your privacy rights may therefore apply differently to onchain and off-chain data.
5. Data Retention
We retain off-chain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill orders, resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. The retention period depends on the type of information and why it was collected. Session and pending-transaction information stored in your browser may remain until it expires or you clear your browser storage. Public blockchain data may remain available indefinitely.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete eligible off-chain information.
7. International Data Transfers
Blockbates and its service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- request access to or a portable copy of eligible personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of eligible off-chain information;
- object to or request restriction of certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- appeal a decision or complain to your local data protection authority.
These rights are not absolute and may not apply to public blockchain records. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You can also disconnect your wallet, clear browser storage, or stop using the Services at any time.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect off-chain information. No online service, wallet, or blockchain interaction is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies and Browser Storage
Blockbates uses browser storage and similar technologies needed for wallet sessions, security, and transaction continuity. See our Cookie Policy for details and browser controls.
11. Contact Us
For questions, concerns, or privacy-rights requests, contact privacy@blockbates.com.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice before material changes take effect.
13. Our Relationship With You
Blockbates is the controller of personal information it collects directly through the Services. Third-party wallets, blockchain networks, and service providers may act as separate controllers under their own privacy policies.
