Terms of Service

Effective August 29, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Blockbates (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to blockbates.com, demo.blockbates.com, and the related applications, tools, and features we operate (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Services

Blockbates provides a non-custodial interface for interacting with smart contracts and third-party services on supported blockchain networks. Features may include purchases, USDC transfers, instant rebates, donations, order records, wallet tools, and sponsored transaction fees. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

Blockbates does not operate or control supported blockchain networks, USDC, your wallet, public blockchain infrastructure, or third-party smart contracts and services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, those systems are not part of the Services.

2. Who May Use the Services

You may use the Services only if:

3. Wallets and Account Security

You must connect a compatible self-custodial wallet to use transaction features. Your wallet provider’s terms govern your relationship with that provider. You are solely responsible for protecting private keys, passkeys, recovery phrases, devices, and wallet access. Blockbates cannot recover your wallet or reverse messages signed by your wallet.

You are responsible for confirming that the displayed wallet address, network, recipient, token, amount, product, and transaction details are correct before signing.

4. Blockchain Transactions and Smart Contracts

Transactions submitted to a public blockchain may be irreversible and permanently public. They may fail, be delayed, cost more than estimated, or be affected by congestion, chain reorganizations, software defects, wallet behavior, smart-contract defects, or third-party infrastructure. Blockbates cannot modify, cancel, or delete a confirmed blockchain transaction.

Smart-contract results are determined by deployed code and blockchain state. Interface text is provided for convenience and does not override the operation of a smart contract.

5. Purchases, Rebates, and Donations

If a blockchain transaction succeeds but the Blockbates interface does not update, do not submit a duplicate payment. Use the available verification or support process first.

6. Fees and Sponsorship

Blockchain transactions may require network fees. Blockbates or a third party may sponsor eligible fees, but sponsorship is not guaranteed and may be limited by wallet, transaction, network, budget, policy, geography, or time period. If sponsorship is unavailable, your wallet may ask you to pay the network fee. Review the wallet confirmation before signing.

7. Testnet

Demo features may use test networks. Testnet tokens are intended only for testing, may have no monetary value, and may be reset, removed, or become unavailable. Never treat testnet balances or transactions as production assets.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

9. Third-Party Services

The Services may rely on or link to wallet providers, blockchain networks, token issuers, hosting and infrastructure providers, block explorers, merchants, charities, and other third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their availability, security, content, conduct, terms, privacy practices, or fees. A link or integration does not imply endorsement.

10. Intellectual Property and Feedback

Blockbates and its licensors retain their rights in the Services, branding, interface, software, and content, excluding open-source software and third-party materials governed by their own licenses. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended purpose.

Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to operate and improve the Services without an obligation to compensate you. You retain ownership of content and information you submit, while granting us the limited rights needed to operate the Services.

11. Risks

Digital assets, wallets, smart contracts, public blockchains, stablecoins, and related infrastructure involve significant risks, including software defects, exploits, phishing, key loss, network downtime, transaction failure, regulatory change, and loss of assets. USDC may lose value or become unavailable. You understand and accept these risks and are responsible for evaluating transactions before signing them.

Blockbates does not provide investment, legal, tax, or financial advice.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain personal information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Services when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Services, comply with law, respond to abuse, or address security or operational issues. You may stop using the Services and disconnect your wallet at any time.

14. Warranty Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” BLOCKBATES DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY WALLET, NETWORK, DEVICE, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLOCKBATES AND ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES; OR LOSSES CAUSED BY WALLETS, PRIVATE KEYS, DIGITAL ASSETS, SMART CONTRACTS, BLOCKCHAINS, NETWORK FEES, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blockbates’ total liability arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to Blockbates for the Services during the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Blockbates and its operators, contractors, and service providers harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or negligence or willful misconduct.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms here and update the effective date. Your continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

18. General Terms

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement concerning the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the Services. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
